For over 50 years we have specialized in developing affordable housing projects, many of which have won awards from prestigious organizations. Thomas Safran & Associates has built over 6,300 residential units (75 properties) in Southern California, including affordable and permanent supportive housing for seniors, families and veterans. TSA Management oversees management of all the properties in the portfolio with a staff of over 200 people to ensure long-term quality. We pride ourselves with developing and managing high-quality affordable rental housing and empowering residents through services and programming. We strive for the confidence and trust of the public, whose support is critical for our success. Our goal is to enhance the world in which we live and enrich the lives of the people who reside in our buildings.
The site was previously used for resource exploration and energy production. Under the oversight of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, the cleanup effort is focused on delivering a safe and resilient affordable housing community in the Arlington Heights neighborhood. A combination of physical, chemical, and engineering solutions is being employed to eliminate potential impacts from the soil. Environmental remediation will be completed prior to residents moving into their new homes.
Residential design that enhances environmental health conditions include acoustical engineering that limits indoor noise and a Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System to ensure indoor air quality. The building will be certified LEED Silver by the US Green Building Council and is designed to be solar ready.
